Drawing for Mindfulness

So excited to present this workshop!

This is NOT a "drawing class" in the traditional sense of the meaning. You will not create a work of art to hang on the wall. In fact, I will encourage you to throw your works out at the end of class.

BUT WHY? you might be wondering . . .

I would consider this more of a "Soul Dump", or "Emotional Release" workshop. We are using pencil and paper merely as a tool to release.

Are you angry? DRAW IT. Are you frustrated? DRAW IT. Are you happy? DRAW IT.

We are TRANSMUTING energy! We are taking our non-physical world, our non-physical "stuff", "Baggage" if you will, and bringing it into the physical world, so we can see the process of letting go.

THAT is what this class is. If you have negative, stuck emotions, they can hold you down, similarly, if you have heightened positive emotions, they can mislead. We want to stay always centered and focused. We will use drawing as a meditation to facilitate this process.

We will take our emotional world and transmute it into the physical to release and let go, and you will literally THROW IT AWAY!

It will be a magical experience.

Workshop Details

In this workshop, we will explore simple techniques in drawing, yoga and meditation to quiet the mind, inspire creative flow and spark imagination. This will engage the emotional etheric body and transmute energy into the physical dimension.

I will guide you through a simple drawing instruction that will require you release all expectations and follow your intuition to create patterns, shape and form. We will discuss the concepts and techniques explored and how viewing and creating art affects our wellbeing and the importance of presence of mind.
