Healing with Color: Green

Print

#Green, the symbol of health, prosperity & abundance - associated with the heart chakra or Anahata in sanskrit, meaning "unhurt, unstruck, unbeaten". The heart chakra energy is one of #love, empathy & inner peace - is the center of the mind-body-spirit connection.

Green is most often associated with healing & relaxation bringing harmony & tranquility to the core of our being. A wonder it is used in health & wellness settings.

When open, this chakra will harvest feelings of wholeness within our being. We feel a deep spiritual connection, self love, compassion & empathy.
We previously discussed how green is symbolic of life & nature. As such, nature also stagnates & decays. Thus, if not properly balanced, this energy can stagnate the emotions which manifests as feelings of jealousy & resentment - giving way to envy, emotional deprivation, deceitful & secretive behavior, possessiveness & depression.

Physical symptoms of imbalance may include ailments of the heart, circulatory system, lungs and thymus gland.

We all know that green is a secondary color created by mixing blue and yellow. Additionally green is the central connection between hot & cool tones. Interestingly, the 4th chakra is also the connecting point for the upper & lower chakras.

Use green to sooth & heal blockages,& balance mind, body & spirit; relax the nerves & bring balance to ailments created by heat & cold; detox the system.

Try meditation on green: deep breathing 4 second in threw the nostrils, 4 seconds out - visualize the breath as green & draw it down into the heart chakra.

Use #Jade or #PinkQuartz during #meditation to help clear this chakra.
